When we got introduced to our theme “Natures wonders” I struggled at first where i wanted to start. But i was eventually attracted to the concept of growth somehow. Thoughts like how nature does not stand idle, and it moves forward. Changes happen, and nature embraces it.
“The world breaks everyone and afterward some are strong at the broken places.”
-Ernest Hemingway
So I looked up trees and their annual ring or growth ring, which tells us the age, the condition of the tree and how it has lived. I found oceans interesting as well because its been here for 3.8 billion years, there’s hidden histories and damages washed up into it.
It becomes part of the ocean.
Every lifeform and objects will eventually have conditions that shows how it has lived and its resilience. Conditions as changes, wear and tear- leaves marks and wounds. Even so- it becomes a part of it all. I wanted to embrace the wounds and glorify it. Which is why i wanted to highlight the “wounds” with gold.
